Talk to any Malaysian about home, and the first thing they'll talk about is food. Taking inspiration from the heart of Malaysian culture; the dualism in Peranakan culture that is a balanced result of Chinese and Malaysian, as well as the textures in the featured dish at the restaurant, Laksa. This resulted in a contrast of two different elements, solid block colours and a marble texture, emulating the patterns in the soup of Laksa to create a striking but visually pleasing balance. It was essential the brand was elegant, but also warm and inviting which was achieved with pastels, inspired by Peranakan culture and the colours found in Laksa.
